Emergency First Aid at Work

The Emergency First Aid at Work course is ideal for staff members working in a low-risk area.

This 6-hour course complies with the requirements of the Health and Safety Executive, and equips the first aider with the skills required, if someone becomes unwell or injured at work.

Course Description

The Emergency First Aid at Work is a practical course using equipment and scenarios to give the first aider confidence and the skills to cope with illness or injury at work.

The topics covered in the Emergency First Aid at Work course are:

• Assessment and priorities of the situation
• The conscious and unconscious casualty
• Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and using the AED
• The choking casualty
• The bleeding casualty
• Managing a casualty having a seizure
• Record keeping and first aid equipment
